Just downloaded and am trying out Inspector. Question: Is there no documentation except for a getting started guide? I have an analysis but have no idea what's meant by "Dormant" or "Active problems".

Thanks,

Jeff

        Hello Jeff!

We’re looking into this issue, could you let us know a few things to
        help us troubleshoot:

        1) Mac or Windows
        2) What OS version
        3) What FileMaker Advanced version are you using to generate the DDR,
and what version are you working in?
        4) What version of InspectorPro are you using?

        Thanks again!

Jeff - this may help. "Active" vs. "Dormant" refers to the code. You'll definitely want to look at anything under "Active" first, as "Dormant" code means it's unreferenced, and thus not currently used by any other object (script, etc.)

    Hi Jeff,

A dormant problem - lets say you have a calculation and you change your mind and turn it into a Text field. If you were to turn on the auto-enter calculation option you would see that calculation. Now over time , let’s say you have deleted some of the items the were depended on by that calculation. Now you have inserted some problems. And if that Text field did not have the auto-enter calculation turned on then those problems would be considered dormant problems.

However, if the auto-enter calculation was turned on then those are considered active problems.

    hope that helps

    Vince
