I just started trying to use Inspector Pro 6 (my previous version was 4) and I can't find where a given element's reference count or list of references is? Was this feature removed in version 6?

    1. Mac
    2. High Sierra (which is why I can’t use inspector 4 anymore)
    3. I use filemaker Advanced to generate the DDR, version 16
    4. Inspector Pro 6

It’s just a very different interface from version 4 and I can’t figure out where the references are - ie, i find a particular field and want to know where all it is referenced in the solution. It’s the feature I use more than all other features combined.

    Hello Christi Palme!

We’re looking into this issue, could you let us know a few things to
    help us troubleshoot:

    1) Mac or Windows
    2) What OS version
    3) What FileMaker Advanced version are you using to generate the DDR,
and what version are you working in?
    4) What version of InspectorPro are you using?

    Thanks again!

Hi Christi, (sorry, I typed your name wrong earlier!)

    On the far right

when you click on it you’ll see a list of references.

Please let us know if you're able to locate and use this.

    Hi Christi,

It will bring up this window and all these places are linkable. Click on the arrow on the left.

Ok, I see what the problem is - there are no labels above the columns. The header area is not scrolling over and the screen width is too narrow for the layout on my laptop so it looks like this:

    and like this:

without the labels, there was not enough visual clue to me to scroll over to the right. when I scroll over, i see the numbers but they’re not labeled . I can work with it like this, but you may want to put the column headers objects into a header part rather than a Top Nav part so those will scroll with the body. I’m sure the rest of the top nav part doesn’t need to scroll sideways.

it’s not really about the laptop so much as the fact that a top navigation part doesn’t scroll sideways the way a header, leading grand summary or subsummary part does. it’s a list layout, so you don’t really need everything to live in a top nav part as it will all stay at the top of the screen when the user scrolls down anyway.

    Hi Christi,

We are changing things around in the next version - so I will for sure take that into consideration.

    Best
